Checklist for your Powerpoint task:

1. Locate Powerpoint on your computer 
2. Create a selection of slides
3. Add images
4. Add video
5. Add slide effects
6. Add sound (from MP3 file)
7. Add hyperlink
8.  Add Narration
9. Adjust slide timings
10. Save correctly on your computer

POWERPOINT TASKS FOR YEAR 9 ICT

TODAY YOU ARE TO WORK ON POWERPOINT TASKS:

Powerpoint tasks:

1# Locate and open MS Powerpoint
Open Powerpoint Ribbon Hero and work through this programme getting better equipped with it :)

2# Locate & use MS POWERPOINT

*Create slides some slides for an ICT topic - a" How to guide". E.g. How to back up your school work files / or / How to set up delicious bookmarks on your Firefox browser... etc.

*Add images or video footage

*Add effects such as animation of text or images

*Add / import sound to a presentation 

* Play around with slide timings and different effects/transitions. Add some transitions...

*Add hyperlinks (a link to an internet site related to your Powerpoint presentation)

No stuffing around... no off task behaviour ... no playing non-ICT class games... no Facebook etc!!

  I will keep checking through the class ticking off people's "Exploring Documents" tasks on the GoogleDocs....but otherwise....

Today - after firstly logging onto this blog..can you download "Typing of the Dead" (if you haven't already done so). 

Here are the details how to do this...

TYPING OF THE DEAD

• Jaipur
• Class Folders
• Year 12 Study
• Link to “Typing of the Dead” (Shortcut to TOD exe)

Spend the period working on your typing skills in "Typing of the Dead".

THEN... near the end of the period can you please post a comment to this post telling me what your typing score for "Typing of the Dead" was. Make sure you have logged on to the blog so your full name shows with your post also.
