-->

Digital Citizenship Assignment

Check out the Digital Literacy Outline on Knowledge Net for a reminder
of the curriculum link.
It says;
investigate one element / issue and create a simple multi-media presentation that educates others about this element / issue.
This presentation will count towards your digital drivers licence.

  1. Decide on a topic from ONE of the following list of issues:
·               Privacy breaches
·               Cyber-bullying
·               Plagiarism
·               Copyright infringement
·               Identity theft
·               Propaganda
·               False information
·               Online predators.

  1. Conduct some research on the internet to gather information about your chosen topic.  Visit the following websites (http://www.netbasics.org.nz, www.digizen.org, www.kidsmart.org.uk, www.cybersmart.gov.auhttp://www.dia.govt.nz/Identity---What-is-identity-theft ) as a way to start your process.  In your research you should identify the issue, describe why it is a problem, describe how it might occur including examples and describe what steps could be taken to avoid the potential problem.

  1. Create a document e.g. OneNote or Word to place your initial information and form an outline of the topics you will cover.

  1. Make sure you keep a Bibliography of sites used for information.

  1. You will have to conduct a real survey on your chosen issue to aid your presentation.  You can use Surveymonkey.com for this (more about this later).

  1. Take the results from your survey and create a graph in Excel displaying your data.

  1. Include this in your PowerPoint presentation.

  1. You will have three weeks to complete this assignment.

Have fun with your presentation ensuring you use good design when creating it!
